From emailed estimates to live book pricing
How Sure Print & Design put short-run quoting on the website, then connected Shopify orders to monday.com.
What the platform does
The Challenge
Book printing is a combinatorics problem: binding, paper, trim size, page count, and finishes do not fit a static price list.
Customers needed a number before they would commit, but the old site could not quote short-run work in real time — everything waited on email.
Quotes, paid Shopify orders, and the shop floor lived in separate tools, so production did not receive a clean job ticket from the same spec the customer configured.
The platform we built
We rebuilt the storefront around a live short-run calculator, then a Shopify checkout that can actually sell those specs — not a brochure that dumps people into a contact form.
Bulk and custom offset work still goes through a quote form (target: a reply within one business day). Those leads, plus paid orders, push into monday.com.
Prepress file uploads and transactional email keep the handoff with the shop. The calculator and Shopify line items share one pricing engine, so the number on screen is the number on the order.
Key Features Implemented
Website Transformation
What changed
Publishers, agencies, and self-publishers can configure a short-run book and see a price before they talk to sales.
When they pay in Shopify, the same spec — binding, copies, pages, PO — shows up as a production item on monday.com.
Large offset jobs stay on a human quote path. The calculator is not forced to invent a price for work it cannot estimate.
Key Results Achieved
The useful change is not a new homepage. Customers get a real number for short-run work in the calculator, they can check out in Shopify, and the paid job is already on our monday.com board.
